The last two weeks both Life Science (7/8th grade) & Biology (10th grade) have been learning about cell division, mitosis & meiosis. It is amazing that one cell underwent mitosis and started the entire process resulting in a human being with 100 trillion cells.
The students are learning on different levels based on the class but the topic is the same!

Hello Students!
I am excited to have you in my class this year and I am extremely excited to learn with you. The main purpose of this website (called a ‘blog’) is for YOU to discuss science articles related to what we study in class. I will also post notes, websites & your homework assignments on this page. Feel free to contact me with any questions.
The other reason for this website is for you to explore other science topics (since we can’t study everything in science in just one year) by looking at the virtual websites and other cool links.
REMINDER: All comments or posts on our blog/website must be appropriate and related to science class. This site is not for personal comments to friends etc. So be professional please!
TO POST: 10th graders will be posting assignments & commenting on others’ posts. As we progress through the year more activities will be added.
A COMMENT: 7th/8th graders will be expected to comment on posts made by Ms. Doe & 1oth graders will do likewise as well as comment on each others posts. Clicking ‘post a comment’ below each post allows you to ask a question or answer someone else’s question when you know the answer. You will be able to see your comment or question after I approve it.

PARENTS: Your parents can communicate with me by email, gina.doe@emid6067.net or by calling the school and leaving a message (phone not posted here for internet safety), I look forward to meeting you at back to school night.
